Summer's here!
Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 11:39PM Wish I could say I haven't posted anything in awhile because I've been busy fishing or drawing about fishing, but my poor excuse is just work mostly...and some bad timing with weather, blown out rivers and days off.
Not complaining, though. I did get a great trip to the Roaring Fork Valley in Colorado during April. A great trip with some great fishing on the Roaring Fork and The Frying Pan. But, honestly, I am really missing my favorite Ozark streams...the Niangua and the North Fork of the White. Not a trip to either yet...I know, poor form.
I have been out for some warm water fishing; however, and this was one of my resolutions this year. Check out this sweet largemouth my son and I caught a few weeks ago on a hopper pattern at dusk believe it or not. Niko scouted a perfect spot under a branch and could not quite make the cast, so he asked me to try and we hooked up on the second one. Never heard him scream that loud! We had a blast with some nice bluegill, too.
Not too much new on the drawing board right now; just some sketches mostly. I'll post 1 or 2 to "On the Easel" if you want to check them out.
