I wrapped up last year by landing my biggest brown yet and finishing the homage to Crystal River native Colorado River Cutthroat I've had on my easel for a while. Here they are:

To start off the new year I am working on a cuttthroat to add to the box canvas series that currently includes 'Hopper Brown' and 'Adams Rainbow'. The cheek and gill colors on the cutt should look great featured against the plain dark background; highlighting those colors and patterns is what inspired me to create the first two in that series.
I always have too many New Year's resolutions, but I did make a couple this year with regard to fishing: 1) Do more smallmouth bass and warm water fly fishing, and 2) Catch a walleye on the fly rod.
